hey,
there are people in our lives who are always going to be there, connected in some way. whether they’re family, friends, lovers. you know you’ll always be there for them, too. even if they’re distant. even if there’s so much about them that you don’t know, or don’t understand. even if it hurts, you’ll be there if they need you, no matter what - because you care, and you always will. lilo is a confession and devotion to this. it’s both sad and beautiful, depending how you look at it. that’s my favourite kind of music.

I’ve just cut together a full-length video for this song, too. there were just too many beautiful shots to let it go to waste. grateful to roman + crew as always for bringing this to life. this shoot was such a special day, I remember standing at the barn doors, looking around at everyone’s smiling faces - we were all there to make something beautiful together, and it felt so right. like there wasn’t anyone else in the world I’d rather be doing this with. hope you love it <3
